Quarterly Preventive Maintenance

Keeping Your Pilots Burning and Your Breakers Tripping

If you’re going to keep your house clean, you’ve got to stay on top of the housekeeping. In the same way, if we’re going to keep your home in good repair, we need to check to make sure everything is working properly. In the past, we inspected your home once a year for health and safety hazards, mechanical, electrical and foundation problems. Every year, we found long lists of problems in most apartments – sometimes leading to long lists of charges for the residents!
The rest of the time, you were on your own. If something broke, you had to call maintenance or live with the problem. There is a better way to take care of your apartment. Once every three months, your CHA manager will come to your apartment and inspect for maintenance problems. You will receive written notice of the inspection at least one week in advance. The inspection should take about 15 minutes.
Our goal is to give you the safest, soundest apartment at the least expense to you. Inspections will begin in July, 2009. In the meantime, if you have a maintenance problem – please call us! You do not have to wait for the inspection to fix a problem. Have questions? You can:
  • contact your manager
  • call Lee Radtke at 443-2556, ext. 1200
  • attend the Resident Association meeting – managers will be there to answer questions.
