Homeownership
The Housing Authority of the City of Columbia and the City of Columbia are offering financial assistance to help Section 8 families become homeowners. In this homeownership program, you may purchase a new home or an existing single family home. The Section 8 Homeownership Program calculates benefits in a similar way to your current Section 8 subsidy, but the payments go directly to your mortgage instead of your landlord.
