POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for responding to affordable housing assistance inquiries, providing community outreach for the affordable housing program, reviewing low-income housing assistance applications and determining eligibility through established screening procedures; maintaining waiting lists; coordinating monthly applicant orientation meetings. Requires superior knowledge of federal regulations relating to admission to the affordable housing program.
PARTIAL LISTING OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Highly organized, detail oriented individual who must be dependable and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff and low-income applicants, strong computer skills, excellent file management skills, investigative techniques, and ability to maintain confidentiality. Must possess or be willing to learn federal regulations relating to admissions for affordable housing program. Must be bondable and insurable. Must maintain a current Missouri driver’s license. Must be able to travel overnight for a minimum of 15 days annually for training or attendance at conferences/workshops. Must maintain a bank account for the purpose of receiving direct deposit of payroll. Must pass a pre-employment drug and criminal background screen.
