Announcements

CHA residents in both public housing and housing choice voucher programs are invited to apply for membership in the Resident Advisory Board for Fiscal Year 2016. RAB members meet once a month on the first Thursday to discuss proposed policy changes, budgets and the housing authority annual and five year plans. In the past year, RAB members have helped create the smoke-free policy, modified the public housing and HCV policies and went over the agency budget for FY2016. If would you like having a voice in CHA policy, please fill out an application for the FY2016 RAB and turn it into your site manager or specialist by September 2, 2015. The CHA Board of Commissioners will appoint new members at their September 15, 2015 meeting. The application is on the "Who We Are" page of the Web site under "RAB".

CHA Public Housing Wait List Closed March 1, 2015
This spring, CHA will begin rehabilitation of its Stewart Parker and Paquin Tower neighborhoods. To accommodate residents during construction, CHA is preparing vacant public housing units as temporary homes for the residents of Stewart Parker. In order to have enough units and to avoid adding to long waits for housing, CHA is closing its public housing wait list effective March 1, 2015. Applicants already on the lists will retain their places on the lists in accordance with any preferences for which they qualify.
