Formal Hearing Panel Applicants Needed

The Columbia Housing Authority Board of Commissioners is seeking persons willing to serve on CHA’s Formal Hearing Panel.
The Formal Hearing Panel is made up of three (3) persons as follows:
  • One representative from the CHA Board of Commissioners;
  • One representative from the Columbia community; and
  • One representative that lives in Public Housing.
The Formal Hearing Panel conducts hearings related to the termination of housing assistance for persons living in public housing or receiving Section 8 housing assistance.
Hearing panel members must be willing to make difficult decisions that often affect the lives and housing of the persons requesting a hearing. These decisions also impact the lives of other public housing residents, neighbors and landlords.
