CHA Board of Commissioners

The Columbia Housing Authority's (CHA's) Board of Commissioners -- appointed by the Mayor of the City of Columbia -- adopts policies for operations, approves new programs, adopts budgets, and hires the Chief Executive Officer.

The Mayor appoints five Commissioners to serve staggered four-year terms.

The current Board of Commissioners is composed of the following members:

  • Marvin Kinney - Chairperson: Served from 1968-1971; Reappointed May 1990
  • Genie Rogers - Vice Chairperson: Appointed May 1990
  • Max Lewis - Appointed May 2008 
  • Mary Anne McCollum - Appointed May 1997
  • Carol Van Gorp - Appointed July 2009 

The CHA Board of Commissioners generally meets the third Tuesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in CHA’s Administration Building, which is located at 201 Switzler Street.
